Our History
The Lena Golf Club was incorporated in 1928 and operates as a semi-private, not-for-profit organization. The Club is governed by a nine member Board of Directors. Each board member serves three years with three new members elected each year. A board member can run and serve a second consecutive term but then must be off the board at least one year before running for the board again.
All adult members of the Lena Golf Club are required to buy a stock certificate in the corporation, which includes Single, Couple, Family, Senior Single, and Senior Couple memberships. The total cost of the stock certificate is $100.00. The stock can be purchased in four consecutive yearly payments of $25.00, two consecutive yearly payments of $50.00 or the entire amount of $100.00 can be paid when the first year's dues are paid to the Club. Once the certificate payments are made, the stock owner will receive his/her stock certificate. Only the person whose name appears on the stock certificate has voting rights at the Annual Meeting. If the stockholder ever leaves the Club, he/she will be able to redeem the certificate for $100.00. Since the Lena Golf Club is a not-for-profit corporation, no dividend is ever paid to certificate holders. Please consult the Club By-Laws for more information.

Type of Membership
Social:
- Permits a member to have use of the Clubhouse. Also allows a member to vote at the Annual Meeting.
0-18 Years
- For persons of this age group only. PLEASE NOTE: FOR WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY PLAY, ALL PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 16 MUST BE WITH AN ADULT IN ORDER TO PLAY.
19-23 Years
- For persons of this age group only.
Single
- For persons over 23 years of age. This membership allows the person full access to the Club. No family members are included in this membership.
Couple
- Includes spouse/significant other. Does not include other family members. This membership allows full access to Club. Family: Includes spouse/significant other and children under the age of 19. Children older then 19, even if living at home are not included.
Senior Single
- Age 62 or older. Allows full access to the Club.
Senior Couple
- At least one member of a Senior Couple has to be 62 year of age. Allows full access to the Club.
